The OB-GYN Department has been recently renovated to make it a friendly environment; comfortable and respectful of the privacy that every woman deserves to have. It also gives her a place where she can take advantage of all the professionals involved in her wonderful journey, leading up to the birth of her child.

We follow the pregnancy in a scrupulous and careful manner, remaining close by and attending to every woman’s needs, in order to insure her well-being, without forgetting that the “nine month-gestation period” is first and foremost a natural event that needn’t always be expressed in medical terms.

The prenatal diagnosis, also through methods which can also be invasive (i.e., chorionic villus sampling and amniocentesis) are performed by our best professionals, a highly qualified staff with years of experience, who continually take advantage of the cutting-edge technology that this department has to offer. With the latest generation of diagnostic techniques, we can perform sophisticated diagnosis of the fetal DNA.

We are a mainstay for traditional deliveries and deliveries in water, for all low-risk pregnancies. Our obstetrics department provides mothers with the possibility for rooming-in, a revolutionary practice that allows women to remain in constant contact with their newborn babies. The midwives on staff are true experts in their field and offer continuing support to new mothers as they become more comfortable with their new duties as parents.

Regarding the study of female fertility, we are true pioneers in the diagnostic technique of ultrasound imaging and we perform hysterosalpingography tests to highlight the tubal patency.

We give our full attention to the problems that may arise for women during menopause, for which we perform reshaping or vaginal rejuvenation, using a laser procedure called the “MonaLisa Touch”. The use of this modern technology make our Unit one of the few centres in Italy where women can receive such treatment.
